Radio Announcer Tracy Morgan
ATLANTA – Aug. 2, 2023 – Tracy Morgan will become the first person, in fact the first woman, to guest host the 2023 Spin Awards Weekend Experience that will be held at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Oct 14, 2023. Morgan will join regular hosts Stellar Awards Nominee & WFMV Radio Program Director Tony Gee and Co-Host Comedian GRIFF of Get Up Mornings With Erica Campbell Radio Show on the main stage for her special 15 minute guest host appearance during the main ceremony.
The Spin awards, a highly anticipated prestigious event that honors those who spin the Gospel jumps off Oct 12, 2023 with special celebrity guest appearances by Everett Drake, of the Bobby Jones Gospel TV Show and the “I Told The Storm” legendary singer, Dr. Greg O’Quin during the main ceremony on Saturday night. The first two days of the Spin Awards will include free workshops, showcases and the Spin Awards pre-ceremony. The last day concludes with a Red Carpet gala and the Saturday night main ceremony (ticketed). The entire event runs for three days, Oct 12-14, 2023.
Morgan is host of nationally syndicated radio show, The Tracy Morgan Show on the Rejoice Musical Soul Food Radio Network. She is also the Program Director and Morning Show Host on 1480 AM WBBP in Memphis, TN. Tracy has been in the Broadcasting Communication Industry for over 30 years. For nearly a decade she was a popular host on the CBS owned Heaven 1580 in Washington DC. She has won multiple Stellar Awards including one for Announcer of the Year.
Since 2017, The Spin Awards has united radio, artists, media and other industry professionals in an appealing setting to celebrate the achievements of radio within the Christian Gospel radio industry. These spinners make meaningful contributions to the ears of listeners, yet rarely receive the recognition for their work.
