Spin Awards submissions are OPENED for the 9th Annual Spin Awards Weekend Event.

PLEASE SUBMIT ONLY ONCE for each person, show, or station in the appropriate categories.
Category Information
Requirement:
All nominees must spin the Gospel message through music and have current shows and/or stations as applicable, except for the Spin Awards Hall of Fame Award and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Certain awards are not part of the nomination and voting process.
Entries will be verified.
As the number of categories grows, the rules and guidelines may change for future award shows without prior notice. We reserve the right to add or remove categories as deemed necessary.
Submissions for yourself, your station, show, or podcast will be accepted starting May 16, 2025, by completing the submission form(s) on our website for review by our decision panel.
Review details will not be shared with nominees or potential nominees.
All nomination and winning decisions are FINAL. No comments or feedback will be shared with nominees, winners, attendees, fans, family, or friends.
The Official Guidelines for The Spin Awards are determined by The Spin Awards Panel. Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting your nomination to gain a proper understanding of what to expect during this process.

OFFICIAL GUIDELINES
Please click the arrow on the left for requirements/eligibility for each category.
BEST AFTERNOON SHOW
Eligible entries must air between 12:00 PM and 4:59 PM and spin the Gospel message in the Christian Gospel Radio industry.
BEST LATE/EVENING SHOW
Open to radio stations broadcasting from 5:00 PM to 5:59 AM on weekdays and/or weekends, spinning the Gospel message.
BEST LIVE RADIO SHOW
Open to all radio stations broadcasting “live and on-air” on either terrestrial or internet radio. Must spin the Gospel message.
BEST MORNING SHOW
Eligible entries must air between 6:00 AM and 11:59 AM and spin the Gospel message.
BEST NEW STATION OF THE YEAR
Open to 24/7 Gospel-spinning stations that have been in existence no longer than 2 years and no less than 6 months.
BEST RADIO SHOW (TWO OR MORE HOSTS)
Open to shows with at least two hosts that spin the Gospel message.
BEST VARIETY SHOW
Open to shows that spin the Gospel and may include segments such as cooking, history, news, jokes, games, devotionals, prayer, etc.
BEST WEEKEND RADIO SHOW
Open to weekend-aired shows that spin the Gospel and contribute to a station’s success.
BLOGTALK/SPEAKER RADIO BROADCAST OF THE YEAR
Open to broadcasts on BlogTalk and/or Spreaker platforms that spin the Gospel message.
BLOGTALK/SPREAKER RADIO HOST OF THE YEAR
Open to individuals podcasting on BlogTalk and/or Spreaker platforms who spin the Gospel message.
BRIGHT STAR IN RADIO
Candidate must be age 26 or younger, actively on air, and making a mark in the Gospel radio industry.
CO-HOST OF THE YEAR
Nominee must not be the main host but must co-host a Gospel-spinning show.
DJ OF THE YEAR
Open to DJs who spin the Gospel message in the Christian Gospel Radio industry.
INTERNATIONAL RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR
Open to non-U.S.-based stations broadcasting 24/7 and spinning the Gospel message.
INTERNET RADIO HOST/ANNOUNCER/PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
Open to internet-only radio personalities who spin the Gospel message.
INTERNET RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR
Open to standalone internet-only stations that are not part of a network, spinning the Gospel message.
MEDIUM-MAJOR MARKET RADIO HOST/PERSONALITY/ANNOUNCER OF THE YEAR
Open to AM/FM hosts in medium-major markets, as defined by Nielsen, who spin the Gospel.
MEDIUM-MAJOR MARKET RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR
Open to AM/FM stations in medium-major markets that spin the Gospel message.
MEDIUM-MAJOR MARKET RADIO SHOW OF THE YEAR
Open to AM/FM shows in medium-major markets that spin the Gospel.
PODCAST OF THE YEAR
Open to Gospel-spinning podcasts on traditional or online platforms.
PODCASTER OF THE YEAR
Open to individual content creators who deliver Gospel-spinning podcasts.
RADIO NETWORK OF THE YEAR
Open to networks with 3 or more distinct stations that spin the Gospel message.
RADIO PROMOTER OF THE YEAR
Open to promoters who push Gospel singles to internet and/or terrestrial radio.
RADIO SHOW OF THE YEAR
Open to active shows airing on terrestrial or internet radio for at least one year, spinning the Gospel.
RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR
Open to all 24/7 broadcasting stations that spin the Gospel message.
SMALL MARKET RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR
Open to AM/FM stations in small markets (as defined by Nielsen) that spin the Gospel.
SMALL MARKET RADIO ANNOUNCER/HOST/PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
Open to hosts in small markets spinning the Gospel message.
SMALL MARKET SHOW OF THE YEAR
Open to AM/FM shows in small markets spinning the Gospel message.
STATION MANAGER/PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR
Nominee must be a Program Director or Station Manager of a 24/7 terrestrial station that spins the Gospel.
VOICE OF THE YEAR
Open to hosts or announcers whose voice and/or dialogue leaves a strong impression while spinning the Gospel.
RADIO OUT OF THE BOX
Recognizes innovative concepts in content, promotion, or technology that elevate the Gospel radio experience.
HALL OF FAME
Candidates must have worked in the industry for at least 25 years (active or retired) and made an indelible mark. You must be an active Spin Affiliate Member to submit suggestions. Spin Affiliate Members can submit their suggestions here.
OTHER NON-VOTING SPECIAL AWARDS (Presented During the Spin Awards Weekend Experience)
Inspiration Award – Inspires others through dedication to radio ministry.
Dedication Award – Remains steadfast despite adversity.
Encouragement Award – Uplifts others through kind acts.
Grinder Award – Works tirelessly for the Gospel’s sake.
Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award – Requires a minimum of 4,000 hours of community service.
Mentorship Award – Actively invests in the next generation of radio professionals.
